Dryer airflow and laundry habits to check
Simple dryer vent and laundry-use habits from the legacy His Way FAQ that can prevent avoidable service calls.
Restricted dryer airflow can create long dry times and excess heat. His Way recommended checking the outside dryer vent for lint buildup and confirming that air is moving freely while the dryer runs.
The legacy FAQ also cautioned against using both liquid fabric softener and dryer sheets in the same load. If you use dryer sheets, the appliance manufacturers His Way referenced recommended cutting the sheet in half. Small items like socks are best washed in a nylon mesh bag so they cannot enter the wash pump.
